Bonitafest is a union of family, community, and business to celebrate the heritage and spirit of Bonita and the Sweetwater Valley. Bonitafest is sponsored by the BBPA to promote local businesses and raise funds to serve the outstanding community in which we work and live. The generous support of our sponsors and volunteers make Bonitafest possible.
Bonitafest takes place along Bonita Road, approximately two miles east of the 805 Freeway, between Willow Street and Otay Lakes Road. The booths are located in the Bonita Village Shopping Center, McMillin Realty parking lot, and the Bonita Plaza Shopping Center. Bonita Road will be open all day. Parking: Kaiser Permanente (Bonita Road & Willow Street) and Bonita Valley Community Church (4744 Bonita Road).
Parade Announcement:
Escalating costs and city service cutbacks forced the cancellation of the Bonitafest Parade for the past two years. The Bonitafest Committee has launched a grassroots "Boost Bonitafest Fund" campaign to help make next year's Bonitafest BIGGER and BETTER and to also try to restore our parade. Our goal is to raise $30,000 by March 1, 2010, for the benefit of our community. We would like everyone who loves Bonitafest and the parade to contribute to the "Boost Bonitafest Fund" at Chase Bank in Bonita (4500 Bonita Road). Remember - Give a BOOST to BONITAFEST and you give a boost to Bonita and neighboring communities. A bigger, better Bonitafest means bigger benefits to the community - more fun for all and better scholarships for our local students. No contribution is too small. Please contribute today.
